We are thrilled to have you join us in the beautiful town of Reedsburg, WI. Our farm spans a picturesque 255-acre property, boasting a diverse range of landscapes, including pristine woodlands, lush pastures, serene wetlands, and gentle rolling cropland.
About Us: At Valley Springs Farm, we pride ourselves on our Grass-Fed Beef operation. Our cattle are 100% grass fed and grass finished. We have transformed our crop rotation system to 100% grass based regenerative practices – rotational grazing of our cattle – letting them harvest & fertilize the fields as they are moved from paddock to paddock. Regenerative agriculture prioritizes soil health, biodiversity, and natural processes by reduced tillage to improve soil health, conserve water, and promote biodiversity. We can produce healthier, more resilient crops while also restoring ecosystem health and promoting a more sustainable food system.

Meet the Innkeepers: Innkeepers Don and Dorothy Harms, lifelong Wisconsin dairy farmers, now operate a working grass-fed beef farm. Experience the sights and sounds of the country, from sandhill cranes returning in the spring to newborn Red Angus calves frolicking in the pasture.
Our Heritage: Our farm, a blend of woodlands, pastures, cropland, and wetlands, supports abundant wildlife and our grazing cattle. The spring-fed pond is a favorite stop for migrating geese and birds. Valley Springs Farm has been in the Harms family for over 140 years, with Don being the fourth generation.
Farm Tours: Curious about a farmer’s life? “Farmer Don” is eager to share his farming experience. Farm tours are available by reservation. On the tour, you can feed a calf, see what cows eat, learn how they are milked, and even get your picture taken with one of our antique John Deere tractors.
Explore Our Gardens: Stroll through our gardens and enjoy seasonal flowers, berries, vegetables, and fresh fruits. Spend time picking plump raspberries or crisp apples. If you’re an early riser, relax on the front porch with a cup of gourmet coffee and watch the ducks on the pond.
Nature and Leisure: Explore nature up close on our 2/3-mile hiking trail winding through woods and fields. Or, choose to sit by the campfire at night and spend an evening stargazing with a loved one.
